I recently took the Middle Grades Math (5-9) test. I used the book from the company called XAMonline. I also went onto the FLDoe website and looked at the sample test that they had and completed that as practice. The content on the test covers basic mathematical computations through about Algebra II. It is a really long test, about 75 questions so I had to work on my timing to ensure I finished all the questions in time. I really recommend refreshing your knowledge on 2D and 3D shapes and figures. There are a lot of Algebra related questions, and a few reading the graph problems. If you dont remember what your learned in your math method courses, I recommend refreshing on that as well. There are quite a few questions on how to attend to students needs. For example, they'll give you a classroom scenario and ask which strategy would be best suited for the particular student, as well as the definition of certain teahing strategies. I also had questions on the use of manipulatives! It was breeze taking the test after a week of studying and refreshing on math methods content. Fell free to reach out to me if you need any help or have any questions.
